Mission Man Pleads Guilty to

Sexual Abuse of a Minor

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Justin Henry Black Moon, age 21, of Mission, appeared before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange on December 8, 2010, and pled guilty to Count II of an indictment that charged him with Sexual Abuse of a Minor. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 15 years' imprisonment.

The charge stems from the sexual abuse of a minor in Mission in January 2010. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Rosebud Law Enforcement Services. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman.

A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for March 1, 2010. The defendant was released on bond pending sentencing.
